Mary Fitzpatrick

Dread grip
In the pit of my stomach
At the base of my spine
Climbing the back of my throat
                                 Empty place inside me, paralyzed
                                 Heavy darkness
See no sun, feel no air, no movement
                                 No sound, no smell
                                 Waiting, hoping
All is dead; no one there, arms uplifted
                                 No one there, no me
Mary Fitzpatrick is a native New Yorker who has called Washington Heights home since 1986.  Mary is a therapist, life coach and motivational speaker. She heads Limitless Horizons, an organization that provides corporate and personal consulting, coaching and therapy services.
